Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the WAPCEPC's Membership Working Group, we would like to invite you to join two online roundtables and explore with us what belonging to WAPCEPC means to you in 2024.

  • Sunday 7th April at 06:00 UTC and 14:00 UTC ( 2 sessions to accommodate people from different time zones)
  • Sunday 2nd June   TBC
Both our online roundtables will be 90 – 120 mins long. However, you are welcome to attend for as long as you can manage.

The idea for the online roundtables evolved out of the response to our membership survey. We received very interesting feedback via the survey, a summation can be found here:

One member's response very much struck a chord with the working group:  what is the soul of the World Association?

Yes, we have our aims and goals as stated in the organisation's statutes.  However, do these still resonate and represent what people want from the World Association?

We felt this would be worth discussing in greater depth with the wider membership. This would be the focus of the first roundtable on 7th April – we are calling it the “Soul Goal Roundtable”.

You can read the aims and goals here:

For the Soul Goal Roundtable, members of the working group contributed some thematic questions for participants to consider:

Thinking of your relationship with the association:
  • What feels too much, too little, or just right?
  • What is missing for you?
  • What would the burden on your heart be?
  • If you were to describe the soul of the association, what would you like it to be

Please click on this link to register your interest in attending and to receive the Zoom link for 7 April

Members and past members of the association are welcome to the roundtables.

The second roundtable (Sunday 2nd June) would focus on more practical exploration of some of the suggested ways forward in terms of the membership structure. More information on that will be sent out closer to the time.

Warm regards,

Membership Working Group:
